The Maldives has been elected as a member of the Governing Council of the Asian and Pacific Centre for the Development of Disaster Information Management (APDIM) for the term 2025 – 2028. The Maldives, along with Macao, China, India, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, and Türkiye were elected to the Governing Council.
